Daniel Adds Southern States Modifieds Series Victory at Sabine
After nearly a month away from the cockpit, Patrik Daniel wasted no time reminding fans why he’s one of the most formidable drivers on the Southern States Modifieds Series tour. The Willis Point, Texas native roared back into action Friday night, capturing a commanding victory at Sabine Speedway behind the wheel of the Lloyd Family Racing No. 7 Modified.
Daniel’s win marks his sixth consecutive triumph on the tour, a streak that began on August 10, 2024, at Ark-La-Tex Speedway. Before that, Daniel took home a second-place finish at Sabine on August 9th.
The Lloyd Family Racing team returned to Sabine Speedway over the weekend as the Southern States Modifieds Series hosted its second event of the 2025 season at the tight quarter-mile oval. Daniel set the tone early, besting Keith Meek in his heat race before putting on a clinic in the 25-lap feature. Starting from the second row, Daniel charged to the front within the opening laps and never looked back, crossing the finish line more than 10 seconds ahead of the competition.
With two starts and two wins so far this season in the Lloyd Family Racing No. 7 Modified, Daniel looks to continue his hot streak as the series heads into a busy month of May. While Abel Lloyd will compete at Topeka Kansas QMA on May 4, Patrik will aim for his second win of 2025 at 105 Motor Speedway on May 10.
