Daniel adds seventh Modified victory with Lloyd Family Racing
Texas racer Patrik Daniel returned to the driver’s seat of the Lloyd Family Racing No. 7 Modified this past weekend at 105 Motor Speedway, where the track hosted the Southern States Modified Series.
After opening the night with a runner-up finish to Caleb Dillard in his heat race, Daniel came out on top in their rematch, dominating the 20-lap feature to score his seventh Modified victory of the season and a $1,000 payday. He crossed the finish line 5.127 seconds ahead of Dillard, with Tommy Rascoe rounding out the podium in third.
The weekend also featured youngster Abel Lloyd, who piloted his Lloyd Family Racing No. 7A at the Topeka Kansas Quarter Midget Association (QMA) NASCAR Youth Series National event. Competing in the Sr. Honda division, Lloyd made notable progress, demonstrating significant growth and potential on the track.
