Daniel back on top at Hunt County; Lloyd invades Colorado

Reigning Southern States Modified Series (SSMS) champion Patrick Daniel returned to dominant form over the weekend, collecting his sixth win of the season aboard the Lloyd Family Racing / Morrow Renewables No. 7 Big Block Modified.

After cruising to a convincing heat race victory, Daniel lined up on the third row for the feature and wasted little time making his presence known. He charged into the lead by lap four and never looked back, pulling away to a commanding victory with a margin of over three seconds at the checkered flag.

Also representing Lloyd Family Racing was eight-year-old Abel Lloyd, who ventured into new territory at Pikes Peak QMA in Colorado Springs, Colorado, on Saturday for the All-American Clash. While the event was ultimately washed out by rain, the young driver and his team gained valuable experience at an unfamiliar track.
